About the Event
Each summer the association hosts an event to coincide with Guru Purnima, a celebration that is held during the full moon in the month of July. Guru Purnima is the birth anniversary of Sage Ved Vyasa who is considered the foremost of all Gurus. According to Indian tradition, this is the day on which shishyas (students) pay their obeisance to Sage Vyasa, or their own Guru.
