Winter Yoga Day 2020 with Faith Russell

Our annual Winter Yoga Day that celebrates the birth of B.K.S. Iyengar, (12.14.1918), will be live online event this year. CIYT, Faith Russell will lead an Asana class and the annual IYAUM members meeting be will be following the class.

This class will be a general class, suitable for students with varying levels of experience with Iyengar yoga. Since we are also celebrating the birth of Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar, this class is intended to provoke a feeling of happiness and gratitude for the many gifts he has given us. It will include some jumping and arm balances, with alternatives provided for those who need them.

ABOUT FAITH:

Faith Russell is a Level III certified Iyengar yoga instructor. She is a teacher and founding member of the Yoga Cooperative of Madison. Faith has studied at the Ramamani Memorial Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune, India on many occasions — most recently in 2019. She draws inspiration from her daily practice and regular study with senior teachers, as well as being part of the local and global community of Iyengar Yoga students. Faith shares the joy and stability that regular yoga practice brings.
